Daniel was born and raised in Miami, Florida. After earning a Bachelors in Political Science from Florida State University, he attended Stetson University College of Law. While at Stetson, he served as a Teaching Fellow and was the recipient of the Victor O. Wehle Trial Advocacy Award as the outstanding student in trial advocacy. After graduating from Stetson, Daniel returned to Miami, Florida where he has been practicing law continually since 1998.
Daniel first practiced as a litigation attorney at a high-profile personal injury firm in South Florida handling cases involving personal injuries resulting from automobile negligence, general liability and premises liability. Daniel effectively managed and handled hundreds of cases which included numerous jury trials to verdict on behalf of clients.
Daniel next accepted an associate position at a national defense firm primarily handling the defense of personal injury cases on behalf of insurance companies. This experience provided him with valuable insight regarding the insurance companies’ perspective when defending negligence claims. Subsequently, Daniel accepted a position at a boutique law firm in South Florida providing a wide range of specialized litigation services for individuals and corporate entities. Daniel was personally involved in representing clients in various types of cases including wrongful death, products liability, general negligence, contractual disputes, first party insurance claims, homeowner claims and disability claims. Daniel was ultimately made a partner at this firm and continued to represent clients in various cases, jury trials and appeals in the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal of Florida.
In 2010 Daniel opened his own firm, The Martinez Law Firm, P.A., to afford clients a vast array of legal services including civil litigation. Daniel continues to handle cases involving contractual disputes, negligence/personal injury, insurance disputes on behalf of insureds, contractual disputes, landlord/tenant disputes including commercial and residential evictions, labor and employment disputes on behalf of employers and employees including claims for unpaid wages as well as general workplace and business disputes.
